DegreeWorks is a degree auditing web application used by students to keep track of their degree requirements. Using DegreeWorks students could see their detailed degree information, such as major, minor, GPA, completed courses and their grades, courses remaining, and have the ability to set up a semester by semester plan for remaining courses, and “what-if” functionality that would show their degree requirements if they were to switch their degree.
I was managing this application on the backend, by maintaining java batch application for data extraction from university’s student information system into DegreeWorks, and in the front end by modifying web views and adding new features to the site.
